Every Thursday at 3:30, Las Madres gather and march in memory of their loved ones take during The Dirty War. It was very touching to see mostly little old ladies gathered in the heat of the day, some walking with pictures of sons and husbands and other walking with banners or flags.
The march is a huge tourist draw and felt a bit like a paparazzi event with people jostling each other for good shots or elbowing each other out of the way so they can buy a t-shirt from the merchandise table staffed by Madres.
